About Shelby
FOUNDER & CEO
With a passion for the kitchen and Fire Safety, Shelby has over eleven years of professional cooking experience and over twenty years in the restaurant industry.

Raised in Smithers as the son of a welder, Shelby was exposed to many trades. This has allowed him to offer tailored services to restaurants, commercial and residential properties in preventative maintenance and fire safety.
​
Since 2010, Shelby has worked on the maintenance of restaurants in Alberta and BC. In 2014 he became the chairman for Commercial Canopy Cleaning with the Alberta Fire Safety Association.
​
In the Fall of 2016, Shelby returned to the Bulkley Valley setting up Shelby International Inc. adding many services to the area that didn’t exist prior.
Kristin Burkett

With a reverence for safety, Kristin has more than 20 years in the construction industry and over 10 years as a Field Medic with a large background in safety.
Kristin was born and raised in Terrace most of her life and has a strong work ethic that has been an integral part of the success in her career goals as well as her personal goals and achievements. Since she was young, safety was a major part of her life. She is always working hard to make sure people are safe in every aspect of their jobs and adapting to make things better and safer in and out of the workplace.
Kristin is dedicated to the health and safety of all and is happy to be a part of the Shelby international team.
